The Faroe Islands came from the roots of Nordic culture. For decades they have maintained parts of the traditional culture. When it comes to their language, they are syntactically conservative westhScandinavian. It is related to Icelandic and some part of western Norwegian dialects.Also, it is a tradition or standard to have a meal consist of starch (like boiled potatoes), meat which is more of fish, whales, and fowls and fat like butter and margarine. For visitors, they often offered tea or coffee with cookies or bread with butter.For alcoholic beverages, they have this rule that only men are acceptable to drink and mostly drinking alcohol is used for ceremonial with toast.
